A cloudless night rose over the snowy mountains and above the village of Meir. The Rising Phoenix shone in the far north, its wide cast of stars glowing harmoniously with the other ones in the sky. Blue, red, yellow, white, those colours you could see as you gazed above; where a completely new and bigger world opened. A world full of mysteries, full of wonders and even dreams.
More stars appeared in the darkening night sky, lighting the tiny world below them, painting the lands with silver-blue hues: the same colour as my skin.
It was the hour when many elves had gone home, some might already be asleep. If I had been able to, I had observed the sky much longer but to me, the day wasn’t over: I still had a lot of work to do and this one couldn’t be delayed any longer.
A raw breeze prickled my face as I trudged over the snow-covered hills, the sack full of fresh kill weighing on me. That wasn’t for me, though, but an animal; sheepli.
